Street Children in Ghana should have a bright future.
The Chance for Children (CFC) story began in 1999 when Amon Kotey’s family opened their doors to welcome neighborhood children. This humble start established the first Drop-in center in La, Accra.
With the support and encouragement of families, friends, and like-minded people in Switzerland and Ghana, whose passion and aspiration to give children the chance they deserve, we built the first Boys’ home in Hebron in 2001, followed by a Drop-in center in Jamestown (2008) and a Girls’ home in Hebron (2011).
Today, CFC provides a place of refuge, learning, and security to street-connected children daily. Guided by the management team and supported by a dedicated team.
WE ENSURE THAT STREET CHILDREN ARE SAFE, EDUCATED, HEALTHY AND EQUIPPED FOR LIFE.

Our philanthropic work is organized into three entities – the Swiss-registered Chance for Children Foundation and Chance for Children Association, and its operational arm, the NPO Chance for Children in Ghana. All three are independent charitable, non-profit organizations.
Chance for Children Foundation was established in 2019 to ensure a more robust legal governance and cause protection. The Foundation carries out the same mission as the Association that was established 20 years earlier.
At present, the Foundation Board consists of six members who carry out their duties voluntarily and whose activities are organized through a designated office that oversees the Foundations tasks, responsibilities and implements strategies.
WE ARE DRIVEN BY PASSION, CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AND TEAMWORK.
The Foundation Board is the governing entity and the Management Team in Ghana implements the Board’s strategic decisions. Both work closely together. Both work closely together.
